BALBOA PARK
Before moving from San Diego, we made time for a session in one of our favorite places, Balboa Park. If you have the opportunity to visit San Diego and you love architecture then Balboa Park is for you. Our favorite museums include the National History as well as Air and Space. There is also a little cafe in the heart of Balboa Park with the best carrot cake and tea. Not to mention the San Diego Zoo is right next door.
With all of it’s natural beauty, we thought Balboa would be the perfect location for a couples session. I met Mila and Chris a few months ago at a going away dinner that was held as we were getting ready to travel back to Tennessee. As you scroll through the images, you can tell this couple was meant for each other. Mila first of all is absolutely STUNNING! She has a natural beauty about her that radiates as she speaks. You could tell Chris was just as smitten with her as she was with him and we loved every second of it.
As we walked through Balboa Park, we stopped in front of some beautiful architecture to document these two love birds. Highlighting key areas that are absolutely breathtaking for photographs. As we were beginning to wrap up the session, the Marine Corps Drill Instructors came running though the park for a morning run and it was at the very least bitter sweet. Matthew has served 13 years active duty and this session was photographed right before we went to get his final paperwork for transitioning to the reserves. I couldn’t have pictured this day any differently and what better way to start a new chapter than getting to photograph a couples session together in our favorite place.
