SAN DIEGO ENGAGEMENT
It’s no surprise I love to travel for work. So when we flew to Southern California in August, we not only photographed an Ethereal Gardens wedding but a San Diego engagement as well.
Natalia and Juan reached out about photographing their 2023 wedding in one of my favorite places in the entire world – San Diego, CA. We lived there for almost four years and it is where my photography career began. I know the area very well so we decided to meet up in Marian Bear Park to show off something more than just a California beach.
I love taking clients to Marian Bear. It has the most perfect little paths and wide open views for a San Diego engagement session. The trees drape along the pathways and you can get so many different looks from the area without having to go too deep into the park. Natalia and Juan wanted to have a mock picnic placed in one of the fields (we used only plastic containers and left no trace of our belongings) along with a second outfit to do their salsa dancing in.
Yes, you read that right – salsa dancing. Matthew and I absolutely love to dance together, so seeing these two salsa dance was such a treat! Juan and Natalia actually compete in salsa dancing and it was by far my favorite memory from their San Diego engagement session. If you are looking into getting married in San Diego let us know HERE.
